Who is RJ Thomas?

As a father and husband I understand the joys and struggles of family life.  As an individual I understand stress, anxiety and the desire to find meaning and happiness.  As a professional I am an experienced therapist who loves helping people to live happier, more productive lives and communicate better with their kids, their spouses and families. 

 As part of my professional life I am a writer, podcaster and filmmaker. In my personal life I am passionate about photography, sailing, surfing and ice hockey.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Washington and Lee University in Virginia and Master's Degree in Psychology with and emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles. I have done post-graduate training with children, adolescents, families and couples at Airport Marina Counseling Service, one of the premiere training facilities in Los Angeles County. I am also a member of the prestigious American Family Therapy Academy
